Rotary International (RI) is the first service club organization in the world, started by Paul P. Harris in 1905. ‘Rotary’ came to India in 1919 with the formation of Rotary club of Calcutta. The Rotary club of Madras was found in 1929. Our RI district was formed in 1942 as District 91 and evolved into various phases, becoming RI district 3230 comprising of the revenue districts of Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvannamalai and Vellore. RI Dist 3230 is one of the 530 Districts spread out in 162 countries of the world.
